Welcome to our Frequently Asked Questions page. If you don’t find the answer below please contact us with questions!

What hours are you open?

We open at 7 am (or a few minutes after) and are open until 5 during the Spring, Summer and early Fall months. We close at 3 during the late Fall and Winter months.

Are you open 7 days a week?

No, we are closed Tuesdays – always. During the winter months we are closed on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

Are you open all Winter?

The bakery is closed just after New Year’s Day and re-opens the Friday before the Martin Luther King Holiday. Please refer to our websites home page for exact dates.

Are you open on Holidays?

Yes! We are open every Holiday – except Thanksgiving Day & Christmas day, even if they fall on a Tuesday.

Do you have gift Cards?

Gift cards are available, you can purchase them in-house or over the phone.

What if I want to purchase a large quantity of something?

If you are coming into town and want a large quantity of something specific, please call and order in advance to insure it is available for you. Of course, if it available we’ll be happy to sell it to you.

Do you ship items?

Yes, we can ship some items. Please contact the bakery for additional details.

How far in advance should we order a wedding cake?

Wedding cakes should be ordered as far in advance as possible! Call or email for space availability.

Do I need to book a Wedding Cake consultation?

If the cake you’d like purchase is similar to one of our cakes in our cake gallery you do not need to book a consultation. Please call us for more information at 503.436.0399 during business hours.

If the cake you’d like to purchase requires special customization, it is best if you book a consultation but is not a requirement. Please keep in mind that cake consultations should be made at least 2 weeks in advance.

What if it is destination wedding or event, do I need to book a consultation?

No, we are more than happy to build a cake for you to your specifications, Inspiration pics are required.

Can you do Last-minute Wedding Cakes?

Occasionally we are able to take last (ish) minute wedding cake orders but only if our schedule allows. Please call the bakery for more information.

How far in advance should I request a specialty cake?

Specialty cake requests are only accepted if there is time available on the schedule and require at least 2 weeks’ notice. Planning is everything.

Do you have ready-made birthday cakes?

We normally have, bakers choice, 6” Birthday cakes available. They can be written on.

What do you have on the menu that are Vegan?

Yep, our Sailor Jack Muffins, Sourdough, French, Focaccia, Waves of Grain and Olive Ciabatta are vegan.

What is your busy season?

Spring Break(s), Wedding Season & Memorial Day – Labor Day.

Do you make Vegan Cakes?

Yes, flavors are limited to Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry & Spice. Orders should be placed no less than 2 weeks in advance and are only available if we have room on the schedule.

What time can I purchase fresh bread?

Fresh artisan bread is available Wednesday – Sunday and is typically on the shelf around 10am.

Can I order from the deli in advance?

Do you have any Gluten free products?

We bring in GF WOW brownies & cookies for resale.

Are you a gluten free environment?

Cannon Beach Bakery is not a gluten free facility and does not specialize in recipes for gluten-free products.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, Visa, Mastercard, American Express & Discover card are accepted methods of payment.

Due to increased merchant fees, we ask credit card purchases are at least $5.00.

Do you accept large group deli orders?

We accept large group sandwich pre-orders and ask that you call at least 24 hours in advance so we can have them ready when you arrive.

I ordered a cake and my plans changed, can I cancel the order and get a refund:

If you cancel a cake order, that is not subject to a contact, within 8 business days before your requested pick-up date we will refund your purchase.

Wedding/Specialty/Custom cake orders are subject to a signed contract, please review your contract for our cancelation policy.

What is the cancellation policy if I pre-order but I cannot make it in to pickup?

All sales are final and cannot be changed as Cannon Beach Bakery prepares orders as received. Orders are available for pick up any time after the scheduled pick up time. If you arrive early, you may have to wait for your order to be ready. Please be aware that orders not picked up may have to be disposed at the end of the day as our baked goods are highly perishable.

If you place an order well in advance and your plans change, you may call the bakery within 8 business days before your requested pick up date and we will refund your purchase.

If I pre-order and I arrive at the bakery but there is a long line outside, do I get priority access into store or do I have to wait on line?

Pre-ordering items allows for priority access to the bakery to retrieve the order. Upon arrival, please proceed directly to the register and show a copy of your order confirmation email to a team member.
